Summary
A Windows 2012 R2 node failed to start up the cmagent service, with error RC 1053.
Symptoms
The node displays an RC 1053 error on starting up the Cmagent service.
Resolution
Found the node only has one DPX service - cmagent. The other three services: Advanced Protection Manager, Autoupdate, and Controller are all missing. In addition, the DPX folder is missing the \updates folder.
RESOLUTION: Reinstall the client software and reboot. The DPX services will then start up.
