Can I leverage deduplication from my Agentless Backups?
Answer
Yes, deduplication must be scheduled in order to benefit from deduplication. The volume for the Agentless Backup destination must also have deduplication enabled on it.
To enable deduplication, putty into the NetApp filer and run the command: sis on /vol/<volume name>
To schedule deduplication, putty into the NetApp filer and run the command: sis config –s sun-sat@23 /vol/Test .This will schedule deduplication to occur daily at 11:00PM on the volume Test.
