How to enable a node as a VMware backup proxy server?
Answer
During the installation of the DPX software, an option will be provided (assuming you are not using the clientonly installer) if you wish to make this node a VMware Backup Proxy Server. If the node had already been installed without the proxy server component, the DPX agent must be reinstalled with the proxy option set in order for it to an eligible proxy server. Please take into consideration if the proxy node is being backed up and the agent on it has been reinstalled, the Change Journal drivers will reset and a new base backup will be performed.
