Known Issues

Summary

The following are known issues for DPX 4.5.0. Additional issues will be added to this article as they are assessed.

Refer to Knowledge Base Articles 47139, 47175, 47203, and 47243 for a similar listing for the DPX 4.4.0 installer release and the DPX 4.4.1 and 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 patch releases.

Linux Backup to CDOT

DPC-28383: DPX Linux backups to a CDOT target using iSCSI employ the first available Logical Interface (LIF) of an SVM node, even if other LIFs have iSCSI available on that SVM.

DPC-28325: Issues occur with Block Backup to CDOT job definition when the DPX Enterprise is updated to DPX 4.4.4 and the Linux client is an earlier DPX version. See Knowledge Base Article 47244.

Linux Backup

DPSUST-3669: DPX Advanced Linux clients compute checksums on source file systems and identify changed blocks. That background process sometimes can cause job progress indicators to change slowly giving false impression of a hang while the backup is actually progressing.

NetApp 7-mode Restore

DPC-28723: When performing an IA-map of a Block level backup from a NetApp 7-mode target, you might fail with rc=20014. The solution is to regenerate the SSL certificate on the 7-mode storage system, running the secureadmin setup ssl command and specifying a key length of at least 1024.

DPC-28756: When performing a selective restore of a Linux UEFI backup with File History enabled from a NetApp 7-mode target, the job appears to complete but the restored files might be missing or unusable. The temporary workaround is to use IA-map. A hot fix is being developed.

BMR

DPC-28634: BMR is not supported for Windows with ReFS volume.

DPC-28284: For BMR Recovery Wizard, there is a user interface problem when dragging from the “Backup” box to the “Destination machine” box if you selected Windows 2012 x64 or later. The workaround is to select the Backup Source Partitions and Destination Disks, then click the Right Arrow button.

Backup to OSS

DPC-27684: In an OSS environment, to delete an Agentless backup job or Block backup job and all its associated DPX backup instances, user must first delete the job definition, then expire the cataloged backup instances, then do a Catalog condense. If this order is not followed then snapshots may remain on the destination resource and the corresponding space will not be recovered.

Agentless Restore

DPC-28555: After Agentless IR restore, Linux UEFI Virtual Machine might fail to start. To fix it, refer to KB-5086.

Windows LDAP

DPSUST-3805: LDAP certificate is not preserved on Windows master server.

Application Verification

DPC-28104: Application verification jobs may complete with a warning message about waiting sssnap response.
