Summary



Should your DPX GUI become unresponsive or Tabs, like Reports for example, do not show any results or show unexpected results, you may need to reset java and the local settings file.

Step By Step



To do so, please follow these steps:

Please close the GUI
- Stop the DPX Services
- Clear the Java Cache / Temporary Files
  1. Click Start > Control Panel.
  2. Locate and double click the Java icon in the Control Panel.
  3. Click Settings under Temporary Internet Files.
  4. Click Delete Files.
  5. Select all boxes and click OK on Delete Temporary Files window.
  6. Click OK on Temporary Files Settings window.
  7. Click OK to close the Java Control Panel.

- Delete .../DPX/db/ssckpt.db
- Delete the file %USER_PROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\BackupExpress\Java_GUI\LocalSetting\LocalSettings.xml
- Start the DPX Services
Open the GUI again.
