Summary
When Nodes Info is run on a Linux hosted enterprise after a patch update (manual or Autoupdate), it will hang.
Symptoms
- The first Nodes Info run on behalf of a Linux hosted Enterprise after being updated will hang.
- While the initialization phase can seem long, the long pause of this problem eventually ends with the message dialog indicating:
Please make sure if the Master Agent node instance is running on the Master Node.
Resolution
Workaround:
Exit out of the Nodes Info interface. On the master server, in the misc directory where DPX is installed, shutdown and restart autoupdate:
./sscmagent stop autoupdate
./sscmagent start autoupdate
Nodes Info can then be run normally.
