How to only receive email notifications on failed jobs instead of all jobs.

Summary

In larger DPX enterprises the amount jobs can cause too many emails to be sent thereby loosing the overview on what jobs failed and need to be reviewed.

Step By Step

A new switch has been added in DPX called  "-norc0email" in the logger module . With this switch enabled DPX will only send emails when a job has failed.

To enable the email switch:

1. In the DPX Management Console, select the Configure tab.
2. Navigate through your DPX Enterprise and select the Master Server.
3. Right click on the Master Server and select Manage Configuration.
4. Select the "logger" module in the drop-down menu.
5. Select Advanced.
6. Add the option -norc0email to the last line.
7. Check the checkbox on the last line and click Apply.
8. Restart the DPX services on the Master server.
