Summary
When trying to backup a filer to a tape drive on a UNIX non-NDMP node, the drive allocation fails with an inability to open the tape drive.
Symptoms
The error code returned in 1104. The job log reads:

Resolution
In this instance, central system logging was disabled on the server. For the nibbler module to function properly, system logging must be enabled via syslogd.
