Symptoms
A backup job displays slow throughput; less than 100 KBs. This throughput is confirmed using the testperf utility. The NIC and switch port setting appear to be correct. Both are set to 100/FULL-DUPLEX or 1000/FULL-DUPLEX. The latest NIC drivers are installed.
Resolution
If the server NIC has a TOE setting, the TCP/IP processing is offloaded from the host CPU.
To resolve this issue, disable this setting. The backup throughput should increase.
