Summary

Upon completion of a restore job, the Windows file sharing settings need to be recovered.

Resolution

In Windows, file sharing settings differ from security settings. DPX backs up each folder's security settings as part of its file integrity (file level backup). However, sharing information is stored in the registry. You must reboot the system to restore each folder's sharing settings if a shared folder is deleted then restored or if a file system is being rebuilt from scratch.
