This article describes the administrator procedure for decommissioning an Open Storage Client.
Resolution
To delete a server from the Enterprise and the backup rotation, follow these steps:
If the node you are deleting is a device server, delete the tape libraries or stand alone devices from Configure > Devices for which this node is a controller.
Within the DPX GUI, navigate to Configure > Enterprise. Select the node and choose Node Tasks > Delete Node to delete this server from its node group.
Uninstall DPX from the machine via Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel. You will have to schedule a server reboot to completely remove the software. You will be prompted whether you wish to perform this step as part of the uninstall procedure.
