Summary
An Instant Access (IA) unmap fails and a failure to unmount error, RC = 23014, displays. To resolve this issue, map backup instances to volumes that can be unmounted.
Symptoms
The backup job and the on-demand verifications are successful, but the subsequent IA unmap operation fails with error code=23014.
Resolution
The unmount fails because the mount point that the snapshot is mapped to is busy. In this case, the mount point is mapped to /opt, which is in use by GNOME applications.
To avoid unmap issues, do one of the following:
- Close the applications that use the mount point.
- Do not map the snapshot to a generic mount point, such as /opt.
