Summary
This article describes the procedure to uninstall DPX in a Linux environment.
Resolution
To uninstall DPX:
- If the platform has Advanced Backup Support, uninstall change journal (cj).
- Uninstall the DPX software in /opt/DPX.
To uninstall cj:
- Change the directory to /opt/DPX/misc.
- Run ./bexconfxrc.
- Select the option to uninstall APM features and follow the instructions. When completed, cj is successfully uninstalled.
- To confirm that cj is not running on the computer, enter the following command:
lsmod | grep cjd
To uninstall the DPX software in /opt/DPX:
- For master servers, change the directory to /opt/DPX/uninstall and run ./uninstall_DPX
For client servers, change the directory to /optDPX/uninstall and run ./uninstall_DPX - Select to stop the server.
- Select the option to remove DPX from system startup.
- Select the option to remove installation archives.
- Exit and change the directory to /opt/DPX/bin.
- To confirm that none of the DPX processes are running, enter: ./bexps
- Delete the DPX folder.
For platforms that do not support Advanced Backup Support and have no advance backup features, perform only the procedure to uninstall the DPX software in /opt/DPX.
