Summary
When working with a new HP Storage Works MSL8096, with 4 SAS drives, Windows sees the library under the Device Manager, and the Library utility sees the Library. However, the DPX Device Configuration Wizard does not see the library, and detect output is empty.
Symptoms
The detect inquiry fails, with the following message:
!!Error reading inquiry data information on \\.\Scsi3:!!! Incorrect function.
Device Serial / Unique BEX Id Number / Id World Wide Name Auto

Resolution
Apply Proliant Support Pack 8.6, then apply the following Microsoft hot-fix:
support.microsoft.com/kb/943545
This problem will affect all 2003 x86 and x64 systems that communicate with libraries and tape drives using the FC network.
