Summary
The following message displays when you move client nodes from one master server to another and a back up job fails: xxx.xx.xx.xx ssjobhnd Tue Jul 26 11:26:52 2011 SNBJH_3030E *** The connection on socket 8 to the module (ssevthnd) from node clientnode (xxx.xx.xx.xx) has been reset (rc=10054) *** A client protected by two master servers is not supported.
Symptoms
The job logs display:
xxx.xx.xx.xx ssjobhnd Tue Jul 26 11:26:52 2011 SNBJH_3030E *** The connection on socket 8 to the module (ssevthnd) from node clientnode (xxx.xx.xx.xx) has been reset (rc=10054) ***
At the same time, the *.ehl at the client log files display:
2011/07/26 11:26:46.000|ssevthnd|xxxxxxxxxx|xxxxxxxx|00014440|00014440|EH_004370W|xxxxxxx|<<< Ignoring extraneous connection from server master server (IP address: xxx.xx.xx.xx)
Resolution
Stop and restart the cmagent on the client so that it breaks the connection with the old master server.
A client protected by two master servers is not supported.
