Thu Sep 13 14:07:01 2012 SNBVTE_008J Creating Initiator Group (SS_VMBKUP_A29C2FB4_1347537926)

Thu Sep 13 14:07:10 2012 SNBSVH_658E Task 2 encountered error. Error message There has been some problem while running VM Backup task, reason (netapp.manage.NaAPIFailedException: Not a valid iSCSI node name (errno=9006))

Resolution

An agentless backup creates an iGroup on the storage system and adds an initiator to the iGroup. This initiator contains the hostname of the Agentless VMware Backup Proxy Server. If the hostname contains non-standard characters such as underscores, the storage system API reports "Not a valid iSCSI node name."

Ensure that the Agentless VMware Backup Proxy Server hostname does not contain special characters.
