Resolution

On each Oracle node, after DPX is installed, OracleConfig must be run from the BEX/DPX Command Prompt to enable access to Oracle Instance.

To run OracleConfig:

  • From Windows, open the DPX Command Prompt by selecting Start > Programs > DPX > DPX Command Prompt. Then type the command OracleConfig.
  • From UNIX/Linux, navigate to the DPX bin directory. Then type the command ./OracleConfig. OracleConfig locates the path of a JDBC driver, which is required for communication with Oracle for backup and restore operations. If a JDBC driver is not found, an Open File dialog appears. Select a JDBC driver and click OK.
