Summary



DPX Application Recovery 7 and 7.1 introduces a new licensing scheme and a new set of error codes. The new product versions covered are: Data Protection Exchange Mailbox Recovery (EMBR 7.0) Data Protection SharePoint Object Recovery (SPOR 7.0) DPX Exchange Mailbox Recovery (EMBR 7.1) DPX SharePoint Object Recovery (SPOR 7.1) The new error codes listed below describe error states associated with licensing.

Symptoms



Error Code Description

-1 DPX is not installed.

-2 Cannot find registry key Software\Syncsort\BackupExpress\<localHostName>\0.

-3 Cannot find registry key Software\Syncsort\BackupExpress\<localHostName>\0\SSPRODIR, or an unknown error occurred when performing the OEM check.

An unexpected issue arose during the OEM enforcement check. Diagnostic logging will provide more details, or the ko.dll file cannot be found.

-4 The value of SSPRODIR registry key is null on the client node, or a problem occurred reading the DPX Application Recovery Options license file.

This should not happen given that the license file must have been read successfully prior to invocation of the OEM enforcement check.

-5 could be caused by a few things:

a) Cannot find the registry key(s) listed below on the client node running the DPX Application Recovery Options software, or the master0 "Value Name" in those locations on the client node running the DPX Application Recovery Options software doesn't have a "Value Data" that is populated with the master server hostname or IP address.

and /or

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Syncsort\BackupExpress\Installations\0 \master0

b) The other possibility is that the license hash contained in the DPX Application Recovery Options license.ini file on the node running the DPX Application Recovery Options software does not match the hash received from the DPX master server

c) The DPX License Key has expired on the Master server (verify that you can log onto the Master server)

d) The Master server's Cmagent service isn't running

-6 Cannot find registry key Software\Syncsort\BackupExpress\Installations\0\master0 on the client node.

-7 The value of master0 registry key is null.

-8 The jvm process (KoLicense.java) did not finish within 60 seconds.
