Summary

On a Linux platform, DPX IA Unmap feature unmounts the mapped drive, but an ISCSI logout warning message displays. This can happen when multiple IA mounts from different instances of the same source Linux node co-exist on the same target Linux node.

Symptoms

  1. Perform IA map from the base instance on a Linux source volume to a target node.
  2. Without performing an IA unmap of the above mount point, perform another IA map from an incremental instance on the Linux source node to the same target node.
  3. When trying to unmap the mount point from step A, the GUI displays the following warning message: “/<mount point name>’ drive is unmapped with rc=23110. Multiple iSCSI sessions exist, skipping iSCSI logout”.

Resolution

To avoid such messages, it is suggested to perform the IA map and unmap in pairs.
