Resolution

Error was related to /root/.gvfs task being skipped.  gvfs stands for "Gnome Virtual File System" which has non-standard system configurations, and even the root user may not have the needed permissions to handle them, as they are setup per owner.

RESOLUTION:
1. If /root/.gvfs is not actually needed, exclude it from the backup and rerun the job.
2. To back it up, have the file system /root/.gvfs remounted, then rerun the job
