Summary

During an ECX upgrade from 2.5 to 2.6 an error occurred during the login to the ECX Administrative Console.

Symptoms

On trying to login to the ECX Administrative Console, after upgrading from 2.5 to 2.6, the customer encountered this error:

The login portion of the console show an error indicating the SSL certificate wasn't accepted or that there was a network subscription failure. On the left side of the screen was a browser error indicating that the site couldn't be reached, with the suggestion to check the connection, proxy and firewall.

Resolution

The particular customer operates in a fairly secure environment with only the necessary ports opened for applications.  The upgrade documentation indicated that port 8090 was going to be needed for access to the Console.  However, the browser error (left side in the included screenshot) indicates that the check of the certificate was using port 8092.

Once this port (8092) was opened in the firewall, the customer was able to login to the administrative console.
