Known Issues
LINUX and UNIX
DPC-28994: Verification may fail on some file systems if SELinux is set to enforcing.
DPC-29019: Use of NetworkManager on SLES 11 causes IA mapping confusion. The workaround is to disable NetWork Manager in SLES 11 environments.
DPC-29272: Web-start GUI fails to launch on newly installed SUSE11 SP4 master server. This is resolved by rebooting the server.
DPC-29342: Sparc Solaris node cannot be edited or re-added after upgrade from DPX 4.4.x to 4.5.0 followed by software update to 4.5.2. This is because Solaris NDMP proxy is no longer supported in DPX 4.5.0 and beyond.
DPSUST-4007: DPX 4.5.2 new deployment installation on Ubuntu does not offer virtualization proxy option. The workaround is to install DPX 4.5.0, then autoupdate to 4.5.2.
DPC-29007: For OEL 7.4, verification might not catch a job failure that is due to an EFI boot.
vStor
DPC-29346: When backing up to vStor, client nodes running older DPX releases fail. This is because clients with DPX versions earlier than DPX 4.5.2 are not supported for vStor backup.
DPC-29403: Agentless backup to vStor with RH/Centos Virtualization proxy might fail. The workaround is to reboot the vStor server and try again.
DPC-29422: Agentless backup to vStor fails when virtualization proxy node has multi-host IP addresses. This is because multi-host IP addresses are not supported for Linux virtualization proxies with vStor operations. A hot fix is available.
DPC-29352: For vReplicate, the values for CONCURRENCY, LOGPATH, and XFER_INTERVAL use the default values and not those specified in the vreplicate_params.sh file. A fix is under development.
DPC-29449: Agentless backup to vStor may leave LUNs on SLES12 SP2 proxy. A fix is under development. In the meantime, try updating the proxy to the latest release of SLES 12 or using a different Linux proxy.
Verification
DPC-29397: Oracle backup with inline verification to vStor target fails. Workaround is to use on-demand verification instead. A fix is under development.
DPC-29415: Exchange inline verification completed with an error on unmapping LUN. A hot fix is available.
Virtualization
DPC-29105: A full virtualization (FV) is performed, and the virtual machine File Alignment Option is set to “retain File system alignment of original source machine." The process appears to succeed, but when you start the restored VM, the VM fails. The workaround is to change the iSCSI Controller type on the restored VM to that of the original source machine.
BMR
DPC-29106: BMR might be unable to prepare the target for recovery on RHEL7.4 UEFI client with 2.5T hard disk. The workaround is to manually remove all existing target partitions and reboot the machine, then restart this process. If the original machine has EFI firmware, ensure the size of the target disk is larger than the size of the source disk.
Software Update
DOC-1998: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version might not get updated if DPX autoupdate is run from Local Management Console, rather than webstart (http://master:6122/dpx.jnlp). Resolve this by manually replacing the jre<java-version> directory in the DPX Product Directory after the autoupdate.
Default Options
DPC-29432: When updating Default Source Options, application might hang. A hot fix will be available.
Maintenance
DPC-29364: Automatic cleanup of a leftover clone and LUN fails. The workaround is to delete the clone volume, which will also detach it from any hosts.
DPC-29406: Delete VM operation on VMs restored from vStor may fail to unmap LUN from igroup (host). A hot fix is available.
DPC-29365: Condense on deleted Block backup jobs may leave Qtree undeleted on NetApp CDOT target. A hot fix is available
