Summary
Incremental File based Backups to Storage Devices that differ from the Base Media Clusters may always run as Base Backups with the following message: Running task group x1 (node xxx, disk x) of job xxx as a base backup because no previous backup was found in the database
Symptoms
Incremental File based Backups of Jobs with Incremental/Differential Device Clusters that differ from the Base Device Cluster, may always run as Base Backups with the following message:
- xx.xx.xx.xx ssjobhnd xxxxxx SNBJH_3500J Running task group 1 (node xxx, disk x) of job xxx as a base backup because no previous backup was found in the database.
Resolution
This behavior will be addressed in a DPX Maintenance Update. However, a complete Maintenance Update is not available at this time. A hotfix for this issue can be loaded from https://mysupport.catalogicsoftware.com/product.php/DPX452/DPSUST-4314.zip
To apply the hotfix:
- Extract the compressed file.
- Stop the DPX Services on the Master Server
- Rename the SSJOBHND.exe in .../DPX/bin to SSJOBHND.org
- Copy in the new SSJOBHND module to .../DPX/bin
- Restart the DPX Services
