Summary
Agentless job is failing with unrecognized IBM re-branded IBM storage.
Symptoms
Agentless job is failing with the following error with an IBM rebranded box 7-mode filers.
172.16.4.2 sssvh Tue Aug 14 18:30:48 2018 SNBSVH_812J Resolution phase started for vCenter node (vcenter) 172.16.4.2 sssvh Tue Aug 14 18:30:51 2018 SNBSVH_941E Failed to create the VM task for node (vcenter) (Reason: Node n3240b2 is not of supported type.)
Resolution
This behavior will be addressed in a DPX Maintenance Update. However, a complete Maintenance Update is not available at this time. Contact Catalogic Software Data Protection Technical Support for obtaining the required update referencing Issue ID DPSUST-4430.
To apply the hot-fix for Linux
- Stop the DPX Services on the master server when there are no jobs running.
- Rename the svh.jar in DPX/lib to svh.jar.old
- Copy in the new one to DPX/lib
- If this is a Linux module, ensure the new svh.jar is executable ( chmod +x nibbler)
- Restart the DPX Services and run an agentless job.
To apply the hot-fix for Windows
- Stop the DPX Services on the master server when there are no jobs running.
- Rename the svh.jar in :\Program Files\DPX\lib\ to svh.jar.old
- Copy in the new one to :\Program Files\DPX\lib\
- Start the DPX Services and run an agentless job.
