Sometimes it is required to decrease the space usage of the SS Jobs location from 7 days retention.
Step By Step
In order for this setting to work the client in question must be running a minimal version of DPX 4.5.3
- On the client affected open the registry editor
- Browse to HKLM | Software | Syncsort | Backup Express | Nodename | 0
- Add the entry SNAPCATRETENTION = X ( where X equals the amount of days required ) minimum 2 days
- Stop the DPX Services on the client
- Start the DPX Services on the client
- On the next condense the SS Jobs will be decreased to only hold X days instead 7 days by default
