Symptoms
Catalog backup fails with the follow messages in the job log:

x.x.x.x ssjobhnd <date> SNBJH_3863E *** Error initializing scheduler for catalog backup, rc = 1 ***
x.x.x.x ssjobhnd <date> SNBJH_3057E *** Last message from DB: startbackup: unknown error ***
x.x.x.x ssjobhnd <date> SNBJH_3271E *** Aborting job CatalogBackup (job ID <jobid>) because of initialization error ***
In the scheduler log (*.scl) at the same time as the errors on the job log the following is shown:
<date> SNBCAT2990I Fail to copy file 'c:\dpx\sched\jobs\oldfiles' into directory 'D:\dpx\snap\snap.<jobid>\sched\jobs', RC=1
Resolution
This issue is caused by a temp directory (oldfiles) created in the scheduler jobs directory by the user. This sub directory should be deleted or moved away.
