Information regarding DPX system process called DAILY_SCHED

Question

What is DAILY_SCHED

Answer

DAILY_SCHED is DPX system job that prepares, creates, updates a schedule for the following 24 hours and is scheduled to run daily at 23:55. At DPX startup time it runs to schedule jobs for current day until 23:55 and thereafter at 23:55 to schedule the jobs for the following 24 hrs

As this is a System Job it can not canceled, removed, altered or rescheduled.

Visibility in Job Monitor
The DAILY_SCHED Job entry is filtered out from the list of jobs in the Job Monitor view and from the list of for past and future dates in “Review Scheduled Jobs”(Fig 1). It is only visible in the “Review Scheduled Jobs”  view when the current date is selected (Fig 2).

Logging:

The DAILY_SCHED Job does not create a separate Job log file, but logs its messages in the DPX scheduler log file (<DPX>\Logs\*.scl).

and daily at 23:55

DAILY_SCHED logging information can be used for identification if certain job is scheduled to run. eg: If a specific Job did not run at a scheduled time, check if it was scheduled and inserted into the list of scheduled jobs by DAILY_SCHED.
