Symptoms

Automatic Update Check Notification may return the message - No New patches are available - when patches are infact available for download on Catalogic Software Online Customer Support (SOCS) site.

Resolution

The Automatic Update Check Notification is part of the Auto-update process, installed under DPX, and is available from the Auto-update GUI in the lower half, as depicted below.

The issue can be confirmed by cross-referencing the patch package level installed on the client machine, against, the patch package level available on Catalogic Software Online Customer Support site. The patch level installed at the client can be checked from the file - %SSPRODIR%\updates\patches.level, where %SSPRODIR% refers to the DPX installation directory at the client machine. Information on latest patch packages' levels available for download under various DPX releases and across various platforms can be obtained at:

mysupport.catalogicsoftware.com

With this issue, the patch package levels from the two sources will not match, but the Automatic Update Check Notification process may still notify the recipient that no new patches are available for download.

This behavior has been addressed in a DPX Maintenance Update. The update can be automatically installed via the DPX Software Update System user interface or can be manually downloaded from the Catalogic Software Online Support site (mysupport.catalogicsoftware.com). Check the Software Update Release Notes for your DPX release referencing Issue ID 877, available within the following product patches:
