Summary
DPX Server Recovery of a cluster node causes node login failure with Domain Controller.
Symptoms
Domain Controller login fails.
Resolution
The Domain Controller login fails due to the node's security ID being affected by either the backup or BMR (ExpressDR) restore and the security ID requiring a reset. Perform the following procedure to recover and enable a login to the cluster node with the domain name:
Note: Use the Microsoft un-join/join procedure for your operating system:
- Remove or un-join the client that was recently restored from the domain controller.
- Join the client that was recently restored to the domain controller.
- The client node should now be able to log in with the domain name.
