Following screenshot are taken from the not current UI, functionality and actions described are good for current DPX release 4.4.x

1. Navigate to the DPX GUI, click on Catalog > Job Functions.

2. Select Job Filters > Job Filter and apply a new filter with the Job Name to expire that backs up the node that you are decommissioning.

3. Select all instances of the job to be deleted. Right-click, select Expire Job Instance and proceed with the deletion of these jobs.

4. Select Job Filters > Job Filter and delete the filter that you applied for this server. You will no longer see other nodes from this window until the filter is removed.

5. Run a Condense operation by clicking Catalog > Condense from the Launch Panel followed by Run Tasks > Run Condense Job.

6. Confirm that the Condense operation completed successfully by inspection of the job in the Monitors Jobs tab. The job name for a condense is BE_CONDENSE.

7. In the Backup > Block  window, select Job Tasks > Delete Backup Job and delete the backup job for the server on which you expired data in the previous steps.

8. Run another catalog condense and verify that this completes by navigating to the Monitor Jobs tab.

9. Login to the OSS Server and explore to the volume that housed backed up data for the job.

10. Open Windows Search.

11. Select all files and folders.

12. Select More advanced options.

13. Make sure the checkbox to Search hidden files and folders is selected.

14. Enter the job name that you want to delete underneath the criteria of All or part of the file name.

15. Click the Search button.

16. Delete all folders on the root of the volume that contain the job name. In addition, delete all of the folders in the .BackupExpressSnapshots folder that contain the job name. The correct folders to delete are shown below.

If the first replication after this deletion process fails, then rerun it. If that fails, contact technical support.
