Resolution
After changing the destination target, you must condense the catalog before starting a new job instance. This allows the SnapVault relationships to update or delete for the modified job definition.
Once the catalog condense completes, the job runs successfully as a new base. To force a catalog condense, navigate to Catalog > Condense and select Run Condense Job.
